We are an internet based service providing structural engineering calculations for Building Control applications throughout the UK.
Calculations Direct
Calculations Direct assists home owners, architects and builders with structural calculations for a wide range of projects from installation of a single beam to complete new builds. Our online service is particularly designed to assist clients with residential projects, however, we also provide structural calculations for projects in the commercial and industrial markets.
Our Leadership
Calculations Direct is an online trading name of Seaforth Project Services Ltd (SPS); civil and structural engineering consultants. We recognize that many clients, particularly home owners, can find the world of construction and its various professional fields a bit confusing when embarking on a project. SPS created Calculations Direct to help clients needing structural calculations to get through this maze to readily access the expertise required via the internet. Our aim is to provide a simple pathway for our clients by creating a portal that provides more direct access to structural engineering services.
The founder of SPS is Bernard Loughrey BSc (Hons), LLM, CEng, MICE, MIStructE, MSAICE, PEng. Bernard brings to our practice a wealth of expertise in engineering, construction, project management, contracts and business development gained in over 30 years UK and international experience. In our service to our clients Calculations Direct embodies the values of professional ethics, engineering excellence and client focus that Bernard built his reputation on and has fostered within the practice.

All structural calculations provided by Calculations Direct are prepared in accordance with British Standards and/or Eurocodes and in a format which is acceptable to Local Authority Building Control Departments throughout England and Wales; and to certifiers under the Scheme for Certification established by the Scottish government.
